SOUTHBANK
Named after a part of London where I spent a lot of my younger years, this is a symmetrical soft clipping overdrive, similar to a Tube Screamer but more refined. Low to medium gain, good mid-range and covers a lot of overdrive ground.
I have made the circuit in such a way that it is as flexible as possible and should appeal to most overdrive lovers, no buffers, is very musical and has a good signal path with a studio like signal to noise ratio.
The build and the parts: All handmade by me as usual with my slightly over-engineered build style and good quality, solid parts which I have spent some time auditioning. Ready for years of use and will stand up to being thrown around.
Southbank has a stripboard circuit construction, custom made aluminium circuit mount and use of traditional through-hole components (no tiny SMD bits and bobs here). I have mostly opted for high quality modern parts to try to avoid the availability headache and also for reliability reasons. I have also used some military spec components to get the s/n ratio to where I wanted it and it is worth mentioning that the potentiometers are indented which is useful for finding and keeping settings.
Finish is professionally powder-coated in blue with a white and gold screen print.
Southbank is powered by 9v PP3 type battery or your external power source.
This is a batch of 25 pedals, 24 available to buy here. They are complete, tested and boxed, ready to ship within 24 to 48 hours after your order is placed. After which you will receive tracking updates from DHL.
I ship Worldwide, tracked/signed for (double boxed) and all my pedals come with a 10 year guarantee. Though in over 20 years I have never once charged for a repair of one of my pedals, in or outside the warranty period (toured, beat up or whatever the condition it arrives in).
For our good friends in the US they will arrive to your door tariff free.
Feel free to contact me here if you have any questions or via my website email. I also post on Facebook (rarely) and the IG page (as much as I can) if you would like to take a look.
Please note that I take photographs with a fairly high zoom which tends to pick up dust.
